Open Plan Living Extension

Studio JKL embraced the opportunity to assist the client on this refurbishment and extension project when planning and construction were already in progress. This presented a unique opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional problem-solving capabilities and rapid decision-making skills.

Our aim was to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing open-plan kitchen extension which seamlessly integrated with the existing ground floor spaces. Making the most of the natural light and providing a versatile living area and dining space were key to the client's lifestyle and family comfort.

Eclectic Lounge Design

This exuberant eclectic lounge is a celebration of colour, a symphony of vibrant hues brought to life through an array of colourful furniture and accessories.

The boldly patterned rug, anchors the room, providing a lively foundation for the diverse furniture pieces. The dress cushions and throw on the sofa boast a delightful mix of textures, from plush velvet to embroidered fabrics, creating a tactile experience that invites touch and exploration. Against the backdrop of neutral walls and carpet, the colourful furniture and accessories take centre stage, ensuring a dynamic and balanced visual experience - the perfect equilibrium between bold expression and subtle sophistication.

Together, all the elements create a living space that is not just a room but a vibrant, ever-evolving work of art - a testament to the homeowner's fearless embrace of individuality and creative expression.

A Tranquil Haven

A perfect balance of creams and rust orange with warm wood textures, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

A harmonious blend of creams and soft neutrals on the walls, upholstered bed and rug provides a tranquil contrast against the vibrant bedding adorned with scatter cushions and a throw in various textures and patterns, adding depth and interest to the bed.

The wood textures, in furniture bring warm tones complement the rust orange and neutral palette, creating a seamless connection between the elements in the room.

Family Hub

Our task was to provide guidance and assistance in tailoring each space to authentically reflect the family's unique style, making the home truly their own. Remarkably, we executed the project with efficiency, completing it within a tight 6-week timeline from the initial brief.

Our meticulous approach to redecoration and modification breathed new life into every corner of these areas. This project showcases how small changes, done correctly can make a huge difference to a space. For this open plan kitchen - the clients were particularly eager to optimize the space for their young family and infuse it with their personality. We achieved this by incorporating natural materials like wood and stone, along with blue and green tones, patterns, and textures. The result is a harmonious fusion of design and functionality that deeply resonates with the homeowners.

Loft Extension - Bathroom

Studio JKL embraced the opportunity to assist the client on this refurbishment and extension project when planning and construction were already in progress. This presented a unique opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional problem-solving capabilities and rapid decision-making skills.

The design directive was clear: to craft an entirely new interior layout for the loft that maximized the available space. Our objective was to curate a harmonious and serene environment, redefining it into a luxurious master bedroom with a dressing area, and an indulgent bathroom equipped with a rejuvenating bathtub—a true sanctuary for the adults of the household to unwind and find solace.

Contemporary Open Plan Living

This project showcases a minimalist design, with predominantly white walls and a subtle touch of colour through dressing and art, creating a neutral and sleek aesthetic. 

Hallway and WC Reconfiguration

Studio JKL embraced the opportunity to assist the client on this refurbishment and extension project when planning and construction were already in progress. This presented a unique opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional problem-solving capabilities and rapid decision-making skills.

We've got a talent for transformation. The layout of this space underwent a remarkable revision, all to meet our client's unique requirements. We didn't stop there! With mood boards and carefully curated samples, we weave together the perfect scheme, working our magic to persuade the client of the beauty of this statement patterned floor tile. 

'Yes to that floor tile. I don’t usually do patterns hence the delay, but I like it.' His words, not mine!

Multi-Functional Study / Guest Bedroom

Bathroom Transformation

For this project, our goal was to refresh an existing bathroom that primarily served the client's two boys. The client's wish was to repurposed their existing vanity unit, and we embraced this challenge by crafting a timeless yet trendy and youthful design. In conjunction with ongoing house renovations, we seized the opportunity to expand the shower area, enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the space.

Serene Earthy Tones Bedroom

A serene bedroom retreat where earthy elements come together in perfect harmony. 

The mix of olive and soft neutrals on the bed, creates a peaceful contrast against the muted walls. The upholstered bed, scatter cushions and layered throws add subtle textures bringing comforting and cosy vibes to the bed.

Wood textures along with the incorporation of black elements play a significant role in this design. They introduce warmth, texture and natural charm. The black details punctuate the olive and cream palette, offering a modern sophistication and balanced aesthetic.

Kitchen Remodel and Renovation

We were enlisted to advice and provide guidance in order to create a layout proposal that would reconfigure the hallway, kitchen, and living room. The client already had an idea on styles but they needed assistance on how to utilise the space to create more practical layout tailored to their requirements. They were keen to visualise the proposed changes before committing to potentially expensive alterations.
