Studio JKL was founded by Jo Kaur Llogarajah to bring thoughtful interior architecture, enduring design and confident leadership to homeowners undertaking full-scale renovations.

Before founding the studio, Jo spent twelve years designing high-end residential interiors with some of the UK's most respected practices, including Taylor Howes, Kathryn Levitt Design and Hubert Zandberg Interiors. During this time she contributed to award-winning private residences, including the internationally recognised Luxury Villa Escape Lake House, awarded Best Luxury Living Space UK. Those years taught her that exceptional homes are never the result of isolated decisions. They come from architecture, interiors, lighting, joinery and materials being considered together from the very beginning.

Today, we work alongside homeowners, architects and specialist consultants from the earliest stages, setting one clear interior vision before critical decisions are fixed and staying closely involved through detailing, materials and installation. Our thoughtful design process is guided by originality and integrity: nothing is specified unless it's right for the project and reflects those who will live there. Every client knows where they stand on scope, cost and timing. We take on a limited number of projects each year, so every client has Jo's direct involvement, and the confidence that one person is guiding every decision from beginning to end.

Sustainability is part of how we work, from a paperless studio to how we design. We use reclaimed and restored pieces, recycled materials and products made to last where possible, which often means a home has something no other home will have. We're mindful of our own carbon footprint, and glad to help clients think about theirs if it matters to them.
